Please find below our latest update.

 

Production and fulfillment operations are getting back to normal, our North American warehouse reopened this month.  We are receiving shipments from Asia on a regular basis and are expecting the volume of shipments to increase in the next weeks while we continue fulfillment of units. Our assembly line in China is currently up and running. Last month, some of our suppliers informed us that they might increase their lead time on certain production parts due to the slowdown in China. To prevent a shortage of components necessary for assembly we started using additional suppliers in Asia which will ensure a constant supply of production components.

As operations are getting back to normal, we are now able to allocate more time on the development side. Our dev team is currently finalizing the Android version of the firmware which will make the Smartduvet compatible with Alexa. The iOS version is taking longer to develop than anticipated, its release will follow shortly after the Android version once testing is completed. The Android version should be ready for Beta testing in early July.  If you see an error when attempting to update it means you already have the latest firmware version, we are fixing this error on the server to show a message instead of an error.

We incurred many supplier delays for this new production line. This production line is scheduled to start by the end of this next week. Please note that both the Single & Double size have one temperature zone. The Dual zone start at Queen size up to King Cal.

We are continuing assembly of new units in Asia and production is gradually getting back to normal. We are also working with more suppliers to reduce lead time and increase availability of components necessary for production. We have containers on the way and are continuing to ship on a weekly basis. Also new measures have been added to increase efficiency and quality on the assembly line.

 

On the development side, our developers are finalizing a new firmware version that will include the increased size of the temperature sliders buttons and fix some minor errors in the app. We are also testing in-house the wifi firmware version compatible with Alexa, we should be able to send a new beta version in the next two weeks. It includes voice commands like: Make Bed schedule, Temperature Control, light intensity and light color.

 

We want to thank our Beta tester team who have been helping us during testing and provided us with good input. For those of you who would like to participate but have not applied yet, please contact us by email to [email protected] and we will be happy to add you to the list.

 

Again, you can confirm with us before proceeding with a new firmware update, please send us an email to [email protected] for support. When proceeding with a firmware update, we kindly ask you to follow the app instructions carefully and wait till the app confirms that the firmware is 100% downloaded and is 100% installed before powering off the unit or disconnecting the phone, the process can take up to 30 mins depending on your internet speed.

Please find below our latest update.

 

Our production line in Asia is operational and we have resumed production of new units, multiple containers are shipping over the next weeks. Our operations were slowed down for the last two months due to the situation in Asia but things are now looking much better over there.

 

 

We are shipping new units on a weekly basis and will continue to do so as we receive our shipments from Asia. We thank you again for your patience and are pushing hard to expedite shipments as quickly as possible under the current circumstances.

 

On the development side, we tested a new version of the firmware compatible with Alexa, there are still minor errors to fix before a full release. The first version we tested last month was working with Alexa but created an issue with the Bluetooth control of the unit which was not ideal as we want to make sure users were still able to control the unit using their Smartphone. We should be able to release the official version in 14 to 21 days. It includes voice commands like: Make Bed schedule, Temperature Control, light intensity and light color.

After many weeks of being slowed down due to the situation in Asia, our production line is finally restarting this week and production should be back to full capacity within two weeks.

 

We are still receiving shipments that were sent by sea in January before the Chinese new year holidays allowing us to continue shipping on a daily basis.

 

Our development team is currently refining and testing the next firmware update. We started testing this new version that includes the full voice command functionally with Alexa. With features like: Make Bed schedule, Temperature Control, light intensity and light color. Our dev team is also finalizing the Wifi connection feature for both iOS and Android App that allows multiple devices to connect simultaneously to the control box. We are still testing this version to make sure the new firmware is compatible with the multiple versions that are installed on the control boxes.

We spent the last weeks at our new production line in Asia to further optimize production and quality control. We are working hard getting units shipped before the Chinese holidays which are about to start.

 

Quality control of the control box

 

We have a working firmware version with Alexa for basic functions like Make Bed and Temperature Control. We will be adding more complex commands in the next weeks. We are also adding a Wifi login section in the iOS and Android App to allow the control box to connect through Wifi instead of Bluetooth for future firmware updates. We are also finalizing the new Wifi firmware that will allow multiple devices to connect simultaneously to the control box. Once again, we want to thank our Beta tester team that are helping us test each firmware and are proving us with very good input. For those of you who would like to participate but have not applied yet, please contact us and we will be happy to add you to the list.

 

The current version firmware version on the App is 1.12, you should see a new firmware in this section within 14 days. You can also confirm with us by email [email protected]. The shipping operation slowed down slightly during the holidays but we are seeing constant progress. We took this time to further train the team working on the assembly line and quality control. We now have a solid team in Asia which allows our production capacity to increase and quickly catch up on fulfillment. We are also structuring our supply chain to ensure that every part continues to feed our line as we encountered some delays with part manufacturers in the past and had to stop the whole production line for a few parts
