We started shipping units from our new production line in Asia. This allows us to increase production capacity and catch up with fulfillment. We've been working hard on the integration of our new WIFI features on the control box. The remote firmware updates have been very useful in the last weeks as we worked closely with our beta testers to migrate to the new wifi connection function. The Wifi connection will begin a new chapter in the evolution of the Smartduvet as we will now be able to begin deployment of more personalized functions as well as allow multiple users per unit. This new connection method should be greatly appreciated by couples who will soon be able to select their side of the bed as well as run our app simultaneously on two smartphones.

 

While testing our latest firmware we found out that in some occasions the Wifi was putting the Bluetooth in sleep mode after a few days, meaning the Bluetooth app could disconnect if not used for 24+ hours. With the help of our Beta testers, our dev team resolved this with a Wifi update that is currently available by connection to a PC / MAC. We are currently working on adding a Wifi section on the App which will help with upcoming Wifi firmware updates. This new version of the firmware should be release within 14 days. We want to thank our Beta tester team who really helped us during testing and provided us with very good input. For those of you who would like to participate but have not applied yet, please contact us and we will be happy to add you to the list.

 

If you see a new firmware available, please wait for the new version that will be released within 14 days. You can also confirm with us by email [email protected]. When proceeding with an update, we kindly ask you to follow the app instructions carefully and wait till the app confirms that the firmware is 100% downloaded and is 100% installed before powering off the unit or disconnecting the phone, the process can take up to 30 mins depending on your internet speed.

We are currently ramping up production at our new production line. We were able to find and test the solution for the Bluetooth disconnection issue with the help of our beta testers. This allowed us to continue assembly of the units and helped prevent further production delays.

We are currently shipping 220v units in order based on the contribution number and location. We are sorry for the slower production of the 220v units, we are currently working overtime to catch up on fulfillment of these units. If you didn't receive your shipping notification, you should receive your shipping notification within 14 to 30 days depending on your contribution number. You will receive your shipping notification from [email protected] as soon as we have your unit in hand ready to ship.

 

King Cal size 110v /220v:

Our King Cal production line is ready, we started shipping units in order. If you didn't receive your shipping notification, you should receive your shipping notification within 14 to 30 days depending on your contribution number. You will receive your shipping notification from our support team [email protected] as soon as we have your unit in hand ready to ship.

 

Single and Double size 110v/220v:

Our Single / Double production line is soon to be completed. We are sorry for this delay, we are working hard to speed production of these units. You should receive your shipping notification within 21 to 34 days depending on your contribution number. Please note that both the Single & Double size have one temperature zone. The Dual zone start at Queen size.

We've been really busy with the release of a series of new firmware that are in preparation of the Wifi connection feature and IOT support. It created some Bluetooth compatibility issues with some phones but thanks to all of our Beta testers, we fixed the issues in a new firmware version that will be released this next week. We initially had to reinstall the new firmware manually on the control boxes as it was not possible through Bluetooth, but we can now proceed by Wifi with our new beta version that allows for easy firmware updates and connection of two phones simultaneously. We truly appreciate the help provided by the Beta testers who applied to our Home automation testing program. For those of you who would like to participate but have not applied yet, please contact us and we will be happy to add you to the list.

 

If you didn't proceed with a firmware update yet, please wait a few days as we are about to release the latest version by the end of next week. When proceeding with a firmware update, we kindly ask you to follow the app instructions carefully and wait till the app confirms that the firmware is 100% downloaded and is 100% installed before powering off the unit or disconnecting the phone, the process can take up to 30 minutes depending on your internet speed.

Things is advancing well, we started deployment of the Beta version of our new Home Automation firmware ( with Alexa, other Smart Home systems will follow). We will be releasing a new stable version in the coming weeks. Many backers applied to be in our Home automation beta testing program, we will send the details on how testing will proceed gradually over the next weeks. For those of you who would like to participate but have not applied yet, please contact us and we will be happy to add you to the list.

 

We are also adding the ON / OFF button directly on the app and increasing the size of the button sliders for easy control at night in the next App update.

 

This is the latest update on our new production line: 

Thousands of units are now being assembled on our new production line. Production of the control box was slowed down temporarily as our development team were troubleshooting the new firmware on our 110v/220v boards, which is now fully operational. The new firmware is even more stable and allows the App to connect to the control box more quickly. This new firmware version will become available this next week. We want to make sure users are able to proceed with remote firmware updates through the app as all new upcoming features will be available through firmware updates.

 

You will be notified by the app when there is a new version available. If you proceed with a firmware update, we kindly ask you to follow the app instructions carefully and wait till the app confirms that the firmware is 100% downloaded and is 100% installed before powering off the unit or disconnecting the phone, the process can take up to 30 minutes depending on your internet speed.

We have hundreds of new layers ready, as the production line of the 110v control box was slowed down we had to wait to receive the control box to finalize packaging of these units. Our new King and Queen size production line are operational. King and Queen 220v:

Our 220v production line is now complete, we started to send units in order based on the contribution number. We are sorry for the slower production of the 220v units as this production line was also slowed down to install the new firmware on the boards. King Cal size 110v /220v:

Our King Cal production line is ready, we received our first King Cal batch last week and we started shipping units in order. We are sorry for the slower production of the 110v and 220v units as this production line was also slowed down due to the assembly of the new boards. You should receive your shipping notification from [email protected] within 14 to 32 days depending on your contribution number.

 

Single and Double size 110v/220v:

Now that production of the 110v and 220v control box can proceed at normal speed, we should have our first single and double size batch ready in the coming 18 - 24 days, we will start shipping units in order once received. We are sorry for this delay, we are working hard to speed production of these units. You should receive your shipping notification within 24 to 38 days depending on your contribution number. Please note that both the Single and Double size have one temperature zone. The Dual zone start at Queen size.

We have launched our first beta version of the firmware for Home Automation starting with Alexa (the other Smart Home systems will follow). We have a new firmware version coming in the next two to three weeks with a regular timer that will shut off the unit at a specific time. Another feature is the option to change the temperature during the night after a certain amount of time.

 

You will be notified by the app when there is a new version available. If you proceed with a firmware update, we kindly ask users to follow the app instructions carefully and wait till the app confirms that the firmware is 100% downloaded and is 100% installed before powering off the unit or disconnecting the phone, the process can take up to 20 minutes.  

We also received many suggestions for the app, like adding an ON / OFF button directly on the app and increasing the size of the button sliders for easy control at night. We will be working on those in the coming weeks and will send you the new version of the App when ready.

Our firmware development team completed the first portion of the Home Automation feature, we started with Alexa as it was the most popular amongst backers. We started testing the App in-house with great results, with commands like ''Alexa, Make the Bed at 8 am everyday ''. We will continue to integrate other Home Automation systems in the coming weeks. Many backers applied to be in our Home automation beta testing program, we will send the details on how testing will proceed once the alpha is ready. The units shipped in the past two weeks have the latest firmware that include the 25% increase in airflow for cooling, we are still working on your latest suggestions including a regular timer that will shut off the unit at a specific time. Another feature is the option to change the temperature during the night after a certain amount of time. For users with boxes received more than two weeks ago, the new firmware version will be available by the end of the week. If you proceed with a firmware update, we kindly ask users to follow the app instructions carefully and wait till the app confirms that the firmware is 100% downloaded and is 100% installed before powering off the unit or disconnecting the phone, the process can take up to 20 minutes.

 

 

This is the latest update on our new Asian production line: three of the six production lines are completed. We currently have the King and Queen size 110v production line setup, we are finalizing the King Cal/ Double/ Single size production line in this order. The King Cal line should be completed within 18 days, Double size within 24 days and Single size within 31 days. We are also finalizing the production line for the 220v units within 14 to 18 days and will start shipping them in order shortly after. We are setting one production line at a time to make sure that we handle the quality control and avoid potential issues down the road. The first production line was longer to setup but the following ones are simpler as we ironed out all potential issues. The new units are coming directly from our Asian production line.
